Congenital Ptosis with Marcus Gunn Jaw-Winking Phenomenon

Tarsofrontal Sling with Silicone to Improve Eyelid Position and Symmetry

This young patient presented with congenital ptosis associated with Marcus Gunn jaw-winking phenomenon — a condition in which the drooping eyelid moves involuntarily with jaw movements. Following detailed assessment of the eyelid and levator function, an individualised surgical approach was planned to address both the ptosis and the abnormal eyelid movement. The postoperative result showed significant improvement in eyelid position and symmetry, with a marked reduction in the jaw-winking phenomenon.
